My friend and I play guitar and Bass in a local group and are looking to form a new band.  We are both in our mid 20's with adaquate transportation, equipment and are very responsible.  Here are some groups that have heavily influenced us.

PEARL JAM, R.E.M., STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, PINK FLOYD, LED ZEPPELIN (MOSTLY #3 THRU HOUSES OF THE HOLY), STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, OUR LADY PEACE, HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH, SILVERCHAIR, ALICE IN CHAINS, NIRVANA, GIN BLOSSOMS, NEIL YOUNG, TOM PETTY, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE

***PLEASE NOTE, WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PLAYING IN COVER OR TRIBUTE GROUPS (NOTHING AGAINST THESE TYPES OF BANDS OF COURSE)

take all of those influences and mix them up.  that's pretty much the sound we have.  we are looking to put together a good group and move forward from there.  not interested in covers.
